Just a quick note to let you know that Harv has officially signed the papers for hospice.

We are both looking forward to having him get some relief.

I keep wondering whose life this is... I just can't quite take it all in... And, yet, I know it's real.

Continued prayers are appreciated.

Many thanks to all of you.

I am so very sad to hear this. It's been many years since I've seen Harvey but he is one of the finest people I know. My prayers and blessings go to each one of you. Please know I am thinking about you each day.

Hi, I worked with Harvey on Stone and Silt, and it was a wonderful experience, and he has a wonderful heart. I don't want to bother him, but let him know I'm thinking of him, and honored to know him.

I worked with Harvey on Stone and Silt, and it was one of the best working experiences of my life. He is a good man, and he knows how to tell a good tale, and so much love for his family is in his book. Your family is in my thoughts.

Harvey, I only knew you through your actions and words--and really what else is there? I hold you in high esteem and owe you thanks for all you've done. You will be missed. Say hello to Jeff for us.
May you and yours find blessed peace. Maria (Schneider)

Poem by Henry Scott Holland

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.

All is well.

Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ.

Harvey, I'm in tears. But as good and kind-hearted as you are, I know your are going on to a better place. Yes, as Maria said, please tell Jeff and Dona, too, that we miss them. We'll miss you, too. Gertie

I'm just one of the many, many people who know Harvey through all the work he's done making KBoards such a great place, and for his unfailing kindness and patience.

Harvey, Carrie and family: you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

I just want to say that this is news that I did not want to hear.
I will remember the Easter Egg hunts and the celebrations with sparklers, confetti, margaritas and chocolate cake.
Know that you are loved.
