Port Day (part 1)

We left home shortly after 8:00 am. The drive was pretty good. We just went slower than usual. We got to the hospital at about 10:15. Sat for an hour and then Harv was called back. He's expected to be there until 1:30 and then we'll drive home. Praying for an uneventful trip home. Right now, I'm eating lunch at the Fred Hutchison cafeteria and feel like I'm sitting with some of the cast from The Big Bang Theory. Very intelligent sounding researchers. Thank you for your prayers. Will report more later. (please forgive this post. I'm typing on my phone.)

Dear Carrie,
I just looked at your blog and just picked up what is happening. Just know that Neale and I love you, and we will pray for you and I will follow the blog and FB more carefully as we follow your journey. We pray for total healing and for peace of mind as you put your mind on the only ONE who understands these things.
Much love, Carol Hightower

Your notes from today remind me of the day that I was in our local hospital cafeteria while my Roger was getting cancer surgery. One of the hospital volunteers sat with me and I suddenly realized how stressed and alone I felt. I asked for a hug and got one, and the tears dripped down my cheeks. Wow, I still remember that hug. I hope that you felt all of our hugs while you were in that cafeteria, Carrie! That surgery was four years ago and so far so good!
Big Hugs!
